Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Chattanooga, a leader in youth mentorship for 66 years, proudly announces Shadrina Booker as its new Chief Executive Officer. A long-time Chattanooga resident, Shadrina brings deep passion and commitment to fostering meaningful connections in her new role, having previously served as the agency’s Chief Development & Marketing Officer and the City of Chattanooga’s Director of Community Engagement.

“It is a privilege to return to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Chattanooga in this capacity,” said Shadrina Booker. “This organization has been a cornerstone of my journey—a place where my passion for uplifting young people and strengthening communities truly found purpose. I’m honored to lead an organization so committed to unlocking the potential within every child and transforming lives for generations to come.”

Enrique Davey Reflects on Hispanic Heritage Month

My name is Enrique, and currently, I am the only Bilingual Match Support Specialist on the team. A personal reason behind applying for this job was to be able to connect with Hispanic families in our community, as I have recently moved to the Greater Chattanooga area. As part of my job, I regularly speak with families who trust us in working alongside them, their kids, and our volunteers. From the start, I noticed that even though there are only a handful of Hispanic families in our Community-Based program, all of them have been part of it for several years, which made me wonder what the reasons behind this were.
